Admin issues

Hi,

I recently installed Magento 2 on a shared LAMP host, and it installed. However, when accessing the admin dashboard, when I can login, it never loads: just spins... I am using 298k out of 300k inodes, but storage and other resources are good. Is that the issue? When I first installed it, it would load the admin page no problem.

Next, I have had to reset my admin password too many times on my last install so I reinstalled Magento to correct this issue, and I'm still having problems. I was able to get in today, but there seems to be another issue with the password (maybe I forgot to update my pw manager). However, if I get locked out, how to unlock/reset password through PHPMyAdmin? I have no root access, so the ssh methods will not work for me.

Hi @Scafidi454 

In core_config_data table, Search for the path web/cookie/cookie_domain. And check if the domain is not the same with the current project domain. You need to change it to be same as the current project domain. And check if the admin login works.

OR

Delete the VALUE of the following rows if these rows exists in the DB.

web/cookie/cookie_domain
web/cookie/cookie_httponly
web/cookie/cookie_lifetime
web/cookie/cookie_path
