Debug tab, set Template Path Hints

I am following this link to setup the debug mode,

but I can't find it in Magento ver. 1.0.0-beta.

Is it moved to another place?

To clarify @mkz71, do you mean in 2.0.0-beta? I'd hope you're not in 1.0.0-beta.

in the Admin page, it shows me Magento ver. 1.0.0-beta.

Did I git clone the wrong version?

I follow the guide from here,

I think I use this command to git clone it.

git clone -b master https://github.com/magento/magento2.git

@mkz71 Ah, I just confirmed that it does say 1.0.0-beta even tho that shouldn't be the case. Sorry for the confusion.

As for the template path hints, please check these two things:

• Are you logged in as an admin?
• Did you switch to store view in the configuration scope or are you still on global?

Yes, I login as an admin.

I never touch the Store View option, it has default to "Default Config". I guess you meant this is global view?

After I change the Store View to "Main Website", the Debug option is shown up.

Some settings are available under store scope rather than global, which is why you didn't see it before.
