500 - Internal Server

500 - Internal Server

Hello,

I'm currently experiencing a 500 Internal Server error after uploading new products to my page. Here's the link I'm having problems with www.soletrend.com/shop

I've read on this forum threads about the 500 internal server error. I've also involved my hosting provider tech support team to help in resolving this issue with no avail.

So far these are the steps we took but have yet to resolve this issue.

  • A temporary change of the PHP version to PHP7.2 and PHP7.3
  • File and folder permissions were properly set to 755 for folders and 644 for files
  • Attempted to repair the site's database and optimize it
  • Flushed all server-side caches and the Magento cached content
  • There is no server log entry that can provide more information

It seems that the builder used for the page malfunctions with some theme setting but I'm not sure. If anyone has any solution besides the ones mentioned above PLEASE let me know it is with a sense of urgency that I'm trying to resolve this error.

Thank you!

Re: 500 - Internal Server

@charlesny09 Please check the url which you have shared because i am getting 404 at this link.

Thanks

Re: 500 - Internal Server

Hi @charlesny09

Looking at the link you have shared it seems like there is no page/controller named "Shop".

So when router is trying to access the shop it is not returning anything and showcasing 404 page not found.

I would suggest you to create the same page and keep url-key as shop and then try.

But i am not able to see any 500 internal server error on the given link.

hope it helps !

Re: 500 - Internal Server

Hello @charlesny09

Issue must be due to URL confliction.

Something must have working before on that URL and you are trying the same URL to make it work for you and its showing 404 to you, My guess.

You can either change the URL completely and check.

Check URL _rewrite, if there is any entry related to this link.

Re: 500 - Internal Server

sorry guys, I was patiently waiting but i had to come with a different alternative which is remove the category completely and create a new one and then tag the products again.

If the problem comes up again I'll come back here to let you guys know.

Thanks for the help though.

Re: 500 - Internal Server

Update:

Sadly, I encountered "500 internal server error" again, this time I think I know what's going on.. everytime I tag a new product, I always check the Discover landing page. I already got to tagged 71 products and the Discover landing page still works fine but when I reached more than 71, I encountered the server error. So, I tested out to untag some products until I had 69 products left then when I checked, the url goes fine again. I think this is the problem: when you tagged a lot of products on a specific category it starts receiving an error.

Any solution to this?
