Configurable product issue with GA4 : Items Purchased

I'm having an issue with Google Analytics 4 reporting items purchased.  If it is a Configurable item it will count both the simple and configurable items as "items purchased".  How can I fix this so that it does not double my items purchased count?

Simple items work fine.

The best way to fix this issue is to set up separate tracking codes for each type of item. You can do this by creating separate Google Analytics 4 properties for the simple items and the configurable items. Then, you can assign the appropriate tracking code to each item type.
