Magento 2 categories ends with Page not found (404)

Hello,

After configuring 'Search Engine Optimization' in the admin of my webshop by:

- Deleting '.html' from 'Product URL Suffix' field

- Putting '/' in 'Category URL Suffix' field 

The categories ends to Page not found (error 404). After looking and searching on Internet I could not find any solution. That is why I want to als you guys what I am done wrong and how can I solve this problem.

Do you have the site in single store mode? Disabling that fixed my problems with the categories.

My problem is solved by removing forward slash from magento seo configuration. My site has more stores.

where did you remove forward slash ? what is it ?

magento seo configuration = configuration > General > Web  ??

had this issue with random categories.

worked for me:

change category url to some new value (add 1 in the end), then remove it.

reindex / clear cache

Once check this------>

1. Allocate the memory above= 1024 MB in whm or server-side particular PHP 

2. Re-run all corn job, Reindex, and clear catch

Before checking the database the auto-increment everything is run or not.
