Before upgrading to magento commerce, we just had to enter a start and end date to mark a product as new. Now there is only a checkbox which marks it as new.
Can we use Schedueled Update to automatically change the state of the checkbox to mark it as not new past a certain date?
I tried it via Scheduled update but it does not seem to be possible.

Solved. The user interface is misleading. I thought that the section below "Assign to Another Update" only takes effect if you checked "Assign to Another Update". Just make your changes there and it will take effect.
