I recently considered updating from 2.2.8 to 2.3 because a few bugs that I'm running into are reportedly resolved in 2.3. After seeing the number of confirmed issues that have been reproduced on 2.3, I'm afraid I might be introducing more problems than I'm solving.
I get that Magento is open source, but I'm not convinced that the community owes Magento the closing of 1,000+ issues for them. They're not only making money off Enterprise products, they're making plenty off the open source community in the Marketplace and other areas.
Perhaps I missed it, but Magento needs a clear path to closing out these issues (and quickly) even if that means sacrificing the release of new features.
