Hi,

While installing Magento, I am facing this issue. 

Installing: Error: 2017-07-31T02:16:34-06:00 FAILURE [3; /opt/curlssl/bin/curl] http://www.domain.com/setup/index.php/install/start [http code=503] @@14*.*6.***.6*(14*.*6.***.6*) Error: An error occurred while executing the application API

Looking for the solution. Kindly help.

Above mentioned issue has been resolved.

Error:-

Installing: Error: 2017-07-31T02:16:34-06:00 FAILURE [3; /opt/curlssl/bin/curl] http://www.domain.com/setup/index.php/install/start [http code=503] @@14*.*6.***.6*(14*.*6.***.6*) Error: An error occurred while executing the application API

Solution:-

Just go to the URL in the error i.e. http://www.domain.com/setup/index.php/install/start then delete index.php/install/start and run this URL http://www.domain.com/setup it will successfully take you to the setup.

Note:- My issue got resolved this way. You guys can try at your end too, hope it will resolve the issue.

i solved this problem by installing zip extension for php version used for magento 2 in  my case it was version 2.3.2
