Good morning, I am Liam and I'm glad to be here. 

I am new Here Our Organisations is getting ready to launch our IT products.  and trying to learn as much as I can before we launch it.

I guess the best you can do is to try to ask and help into the forums.

Also you'll find a information on StackExchange.

You can start diving into the http://devdocs.magento.com/

Another recomendation could be to be aware of Magento issues on Github: https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues (if you are technical, of course).

Fianlly, you'll need to get your hands dirty with the platform.
