As I understand S3fs-fuse from reading around, the s3 bucket should be mounted on the filesystem (https://magento.stackexchange.com/a/68933/26) which would suggest you shouldn't need rsyinging via cron. Have I misunderstood the setup? If you do need rsync for your setup I would recommend using the aws cli tool which has a sync command which will probably be quicker/more suited https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/reference/s3/sync.html.

Do you know what package the QRCode class comes from? Is there anything strange you can see about the namespaces in that class or the declarations where it's used?

I'm not sure how you have magento configured to point to images on the CDN. In core Magento, it uses an image helper when getting product media URLs which references the media/catalog/product/cache folder which sounds like what you want to avoid. What changes have you had to make? It looks like on this line: https://github.com/meanbee/magento2-royalmail/blob/master/src/Model/Carrier.php#L213 It's trying to create an instance of the LibCarrier class but in your installation it's confusing use Meanbee\Royalmail\Carrier with the current class Meanbee\MagentoRoyalmail\Model\Carrier. You would need to find why it's doing that because it shouldn't be.

I don't think you'd be able to do this out of the box but one configuration of a promotion rule to try would be to give 100% discount on a product with the condition being that this can only be applied once and if the cart is over $100. Alternatively, you're more likely to be able to achieve more complex promotions with an extension from the marketplace. Yes, it's only activated in admin because it seems to be a slight change in Magento's approach and only runs when editing a product in admin. Either roads to a solution, stop the date being automatically added when in admin, or being more intelligent about when to show the sale page is going to require diving into the code I'm afraid.

Hmm, that's going to be quite an involved task. The template for the gallery area is here https://github.com/magento/magento2/blob/2.2-develop/app/code/Magento/Catalog/view/frontend/templates/product/view/gallery.phtml and you can see it instantiates the gallery JS. There is documentation on the gallery widget here: http://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.0/javascript-dev-guide/widgets/widget_gallery.html Depending on your specific requirements, your approach might be to not immediately instantiate the gallery on page load, instead triggering it once all items have been configured (if I've understood your requirements). Or if you want to show the gallery, you just don't want it to automatically scroll between images then you're going to need to customise the JS for the gallery.

Yeah, I'm sure something similar would be possible in Magento. If one thing Magento is good at is being customised. It'll take a little bit of development effort and so the most difficult part of the task if it's something you're going to take on yourself is getting up to speed with how to develop for it.

Hi there, and welcome to the world of Magento! 1) Possibly, depending on your exact requirements. You can't disable the quantity box from within the admin area but you can restrict on each product the number that are able to be added to the basket, and also specify the qty increments if that's helpful. You would need to edit the theme to remove the qty box so it's not shown on the product page. 2) From my experience with Magento 1, product pages with a large number of product options can slow down the page load. Loading information about 3500 variants could well be straining it in some areas. Do all options eventually map down to a physical stock item or are they just custom options/personalistions on a product? 3) I've not seen conditional options out of the box before. How I've known this to be implemented is to have all options configured on a product in admin and then code the logic over when each option should be shown as part of the store code/theme logic.

I can't say for sure but it does look like it from what they've said. In the release notes is the line: "Magento now correctly displays custom options at the store-view level. GitHub-2908, GitHub-5885, GitHub-5612 " While this line doesn't mention the exact github issue you link to, the one you link to has this comment: https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues/5931#issuecomment-238185369 "@mktudock thank you for your report. We already have internal ticket for this issue: MAGETWO-56411 Created for GitHub issue #5612 I have linked it to this issue as well." And the release notes for 2.1.10 do mention issue 5610 being resolved by this release.

Based on the documentation, I don't think that's possible with the built-in table rates functionality. You're better off using the matrix rates extension for this.

This is a server error. One place to check is the magento logs in var/logs but depending on what's gone wrong, there might not be any info on this error because it's quite a serious error (in the sense that this page completely broke, not just partially broke :D). The place to check then is the web server or php logs on the server. Do you know how to find those or have a developer that can help?

It seems Magento 2 puts the current date in the special price from field on save, so maybe it's a newer feature of Magento. If so, (and either way), it's probably easier just to edit the theme to decide more intelligently when a sale badge should be shown. Is there another way you can write the logic to decide that that isn't affected by the special_from_date field? Otherwise, you're going to need to dive into the code that's automatically adding it in admin (which could be Magento code) and customise it which is more tricky.

Does the field in admin show an asterisk? When you say that the product won't save without a date in that field. What error does it give when that field is empty? Given that these fields have been renamed, it's possible that there's custom code that's been added around these fields too that's preventing it from being saved so I would have a look into the codebase to see if there's anything relating to special price.

Would you be able to double check in Catalog > Manage Attributes that the Special Price From attribute hasn't had the setting changes to "Values Required: Yes".

It's worth running through an image compression tool before upload but resizing for each type (image, small image, thumbnail) probably isn't worth the time unless you actually want to have different photo for the image in different places, not for performance. As Magento will already resize to the size it needs.

Hmm, I'm afraid I've got as far as I can debugging this issue as a forum. It doesn't sound like a configuration error though it is a bit hard to get your head around :D. A developer is probably going to need to look into this to rule out that there isn't a customisation to the platform causing this. I've never heard of a problem like this with tiered pricing before.

You shouldn't have to update the class that it extends from. Doing so could create a whole other set of problems. I would focus on why the file/class cannot be found rather than trying to change the php file. You don't have compilation enabled do you? i.e. there shouldn't be anything in includes/src/ and includes/config.php should show it as disabled. When core Magento classes cannot be found it's a caching, compilation, or file permission/ownership issue.

The number of products shouldn't really affect the time to first byte (page load speed) so it maybe there's something else going on here. Do you have any familiarity with the profiling tools available? Whether that be the built in magento one enhanced with AOE Profiler or more advanced tools like Blackfire. These are great to know where the time is being spent.

The blurriness sounds like a theme bug more than an image optimisation problem. It sounds like your theme is using the thumbnail image as the main image when clicked on. You'll want to make sure it's using the larger image version of the thumbnail. Magento will automatically resize images to the size that it needs for different locations in the theme. So you don't have to worry about uploading the exact sizes in advance, especially as they're all the same aspect ratio. Magento's resizing isn't "optimal" though, so more advanced solutions might completely replace the image system in magento, e.g. Cloudinary. 20kb sounds great in terms of size! If you manage to keep it that low you're doing really well. I'd use this as well as the total page weight and ensure those together are within a certain budget.

I can't find a pre-built paymentez payment gateway for Magento out there so it looks like you'll need to create one yourself. It might be worth sending a support request to them to see if they have a recommended integration approach for Magento. Otherwise, if you have to create your own Magento integration, the way I'd go about it is by using their JS library https://github.com/paymentez/paymentez.js and incorporating that into a payment extension. I would imagine stripe and braintree extensions would be a good reference as they use a client side JS library to send credit card details to the gateway on the client side too.

Would redirecting to the cart be sufficient as there's a setting for that so that would be a quick and cheap solution: http://docs.magento.com/m2/ce/user_guide/sales/cart-redirect.html From a user experience perspective, it's good to let people review their basket before checking out so most recommendations I've seen have been to include a cart step in the checkout process.
