That was my first "solution." They told me they don't do it. That it is a
Magento issue and Magento needs to do it. So much for that.

It is the solution I am using and it works fine.

I spoke with tech support. They didn't say "don't do it," they said they
don't do it. Magento has to do it. Of course, there is no Magento to do it
in the Community platform.

Correct. Elavon will not tell you to do it. They have a solution for people in Europe but not here on their site.
They will not support it either.

It's something you have to buy and install yourself.

Then generate the User IDs within Converged enter them in the fields that Booklink plug in provides.

I did not develop it. You have to get it from Booklink. Google it.
