I have previously installed magento 1.8.1.0, 1.7.0.1 & 1.9.0.1.
Now i tried to install Magento 2.1 with no success. This is what I can see after a successful installation, however, I was not able to replicate this installation either.
So I tried to install Magento1.9.3.1 and I am not able to continue after accepting the license agreement because the continue button is grayed out.
A few years ago installation was straight forward although sometimes it used to give errors sporadically.
If someone can assist me in the install of Magento 2.1 it would be very much appreciated.
Regards
Hi @Texasbull
Did you try to deploy static content after the installation of Magento 2.1.1?
You need to run following command in the Magento root directory.
php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
Were you able to login to Magento 2.1.1 admin?
One more question to ask , which version of php are you using to install Magento? (For 1x as well as 2x)
Hello Texasbull,
Here is a tutorial, follow every steps and it should be OK :

have a nice day,
Pierre.
@ muk_t
Thank you for your response, I have tried to deploy the static content but I got 404 not found. However, now that you clarified I have to be in the magento root directory I will try that and post that is worked or not.
Thank you for your suggestion I will look at the tutorial you sent and will follow it step by step and I hope it will work.
I will let you know once I try it this evening if it does or not.
I also appreciate your help if I am not able to get it working with the tutorial you sent.
I forgot to let you know that I am running PHP version 5.6.24.
I tried the static deploy and this is what I got.
bin/magento must be run as a CLI application
@Pierre FAYI still haven't attempted to use the tutorial for a fresh install on my other websites. I will try them tomorrow, I hope.
@Mukesh Tiwari please advise about the above.
Hi @Texasbull
You may try following on you Magento root directory.
php-cli bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
Thank you it started working finally but then it ran out of memory. So I will have to go through the link that they gave to limit memory errors.and will post back.
Thank you for your continued help.
Ok so I adjusted the memory limits and the static content deploy ran through to completion successfully. However, there has been no change in the appearance.
Please advise.
