Admin Default Language

The developer that I hired left the magento CE 1.9 running in a language other than English. I cannot work with managing the program when the admin language is not English. How can I switch this without changing the store language?

Hi,

Go to system > config > (general) general > locale options > locale > english (US)

Be sure to set that at the "default config" scope(top left side of drop down box ), and log out and then login.

I found a small dropdown window in the bottom left corner of the default admin window that allowed me to change this. I don't know if that is what you referenced, but I managed to fix it... not an easy thing to find.
