Images load very slow

Hi Guys

Our product images loads really slow, it takes about 2-8 secounds pr. images. They are converted to max. 50 kb, but i just rolling. 

What to do to get it faster?

If a 50KB image is taking 2 to 8 seconds to load, it sounds like the server is slow in serving the static contents.

You may want to consider offloading the static contents like Images and your CSS to a third-party CDN service to speed up their loading speed.

My hosting told me that we use HTTP2 instead of CDN. 

Is that correct?

They are two separate matters.

HTTP/2 should allow parallel loading of the images to speed them up and it has nothing to do with a CDN.

A CDN is usually not included in the hosting service and it will cost extra for you to use it.

To be honest I wouldn't stay with the hosting provider if it takes them 2 to 8 seconds to load a 50kb image.

Hey Nicolai,

If your hosting partner does not know the difference between HTTP/2 and CDN and 50kb image takes 8 seconds to load, I agree with James, it's time to upgrade. You are losing a **bleep** load of orders because your store is slow.
