End of Life 2.2.x

Guys, we're trying to confirm the End of Life for M2 2.2.x. We can see that 2.2.x Commerce is  at end of life December this year(2019). Does that also mean that Open Source which most our clients are using is also at End of Life the same time? Would be correct to assume it is and start making plans to update all those clients to 2.3? We struggling to find any info on the Open Source part of it.

And answer to your question is yes you must start converting/upgrading them to 2.3.x if they want to stay secured post EOL.
